Contact Lenses

Contact Lenses can be worn by just about everyone!

Brennan and Smith has a contact lens specialist, Althea Lean, who has undertaken the Advanced Contact Lens graduate certificate and is available for appointments in Armidale, Inverell and Glen Innes.

Contact lenses are complex pieces of specialty plastic that can be placed on the eye to correct short sighted, long sighted, astigmatism, multifocal, bifocal, myopia control, keratoconus and monovision eye conditions. These are all examples of contact lenses that our experienced and expert optometrists can prescribe to suit every individual.

Contact lenses can be worn as daily disposable (throw out each day), extended wear and monthly wear. The best individual option will be decided between the optometrist and the patient to give the best eye care with contact lenses.

Custom made contact lenses can be made with Brennan & Smith, whether using soft or hard (RGP) contact lenses a custom-made lens can be individually created to suit individual needs.

Brennan & Smith also offer fitting and management of novelty and coloured contact lenses, as well as extensive aftercare, support and teaching with each contact lens patients.
